The Chariot
Moving forward by holding opposing pulls together.
Willpower and focus move you forward. Hold the reins steady.
- determination
- drive
- direction
Traditional association: Cancer
What the card shows
An armoured figure stands upright in a chariot under a canopy of stars. A black sphinx and a white sphinx rest in front of it, and the figure holds no reins. A city lies behind.
Seven is the number of tests. The two sphinxes face different ways, so the driver steers by will and focus, not by force. Cancer, the usual sign, gives a protective shell around a determined aim.
▲Upright
Disciplined drive: you keep moving by holding competing pulls in line.
What am I steering, and where do I want it to go?
▼Reversed
Drive is scattered, stalled or turned aggressive.
Am I steering, or being dragged?
